Hidden Treasures on Chemist.co.uk

Don't you just love coming across site's you have never even heard of?

Especially when they stock the most amazing beauty products?

That's what I like to call a Hidden Treasure!

Chemist.co.uk is an online pharmacy business that offers a massive range of Health & Beauty products ranging from medicines, skincare, toiletries, mother & baby items and so much more.

Here are some of my favourites that I picked up, for my own Mother's Day treat.
So it's a fab place to grab some things for yourself or gifts for others.

L.A. Girl Pro.conceal HD concealer: I thought this was an amazing price (£3.99) for such a great concealer, so I grabbed two of them!

Dr. PAWPAW: This peach tinted multipurpose balm was just a must have and perfect for the spring and it comes in this massive 25ml tube. £6.95

Tiger Balm: I ordered the white ointment as it states it is a temporary relief of muscular aches and pains, and for the treatment of tension headaches. Sounds perfect. £4.69

I adore the Avene Eau Thermale spring water for so many things.
It's fab for the obvious when it's hot, I spray it anywhere and everywhere on my face and body! I love to spray it on my beauty blender when I'm doing my makeup, and also after I have done my makeup as a setting spray. £6.50

Ever since I spotted this new Aveeno daily moisturing after-shower mist, I've been wanting to try it out. I love Aveeno products, they have been a massive lifesaver for myself and my daughters skin. This is a super quick, convenient product, just spray on and rub in. £6.75

I've always spotted these Westlab bath salts in shops but never tried them out for myself.
Ever since our shower broke I have gained an obsession for all things bath related, bath bombs, melts, oils, everything! So excited to try these out. £4.45

And lastly I picked up a product that I have been recommended by my Optician to use for my severe dry eye condition. For that I need to use this TheraPearl eye mask hot for ten minutes a day.
This product is great as it can be used hot or cold. £7.99

So what do you think to my picks from Chemist.co.uk
Anything you want to try out?

They are such an amazing place to grab beauty & healthcare goodies at amazing prices.

Little Known Box

After what can only be described as beauty box failure's this month, this delivery of my first 'Little Known Box'* is like a breath of fresh air.

Little Known box is a monthly subscription box (£12.45 + p&p) that can be cancelled anytime.
You receive 5-6 beauty products, each from "little-known' or new brands within the UK.
Super cute idea right?

I have received the February box to share with you and first impressions are, the packaging is rather adorable and it's such a classic looking box. Right?

The theme of February's box was Spa Night! ... Perfect!

All the products you would need to help treat yourself to a relax and pamper, in the comfort of your own home.

A great mixture of products from makeup, beauty care, skincare and more.

The first thing that caught my eye and my absolute favourite product in the box is the Miss Patisserie cupcake bath melt ... Isn't it stunning?

Miss Patisserie has been making handmade products with natural ingredients in Wales since 2009.
I think I'm definitely going to need more from Miss Patisserie as they also do coffee scrubs, lip balms, face masks, lip balms, soaps, sugar scrubs and more.

My cupcake bath melt is in Vanilla Cream scent, and I can't wait to use it, it's so super adorable.

This is a full sized product that retails for £3.00.

Next up in my box is a makeup product, the Medusa makeup mascara.

This is another full sized product that retails for $12.00 (approx £9.70).

The Witch lash is a voluming and lengthening mascara with a rubber wand.

This is a brand that I've never tried before, it looks to be a super fun quirky brand and I'm intrigued to give this mascara a go!

Next up is some Rose & Chamomile organic facial wipes from the brand EcoCare.

These are full size again and retail for £4.99.

Lip balms are a must for me, so I'm excited for this FRUU lip balm in Watermelon scent that was included in my box. FRUU are a new organic UK brand. Full size again - RRP £2.99.

Now onto the only travel sized products included inside my box ...

MONU Skin recovery balm which is half the size of a full size (retails for £27.50), plus the bonus item of a cute hair and body bar from Friendly soap.

What do you think to Little Known Box?

I'm so impressed, I think the idea of the box is amazing, all products included inside the Little Known boxes are included with ethics and wellness in mind. They frequently include organic, cruelty free, vegan friendly and free-from products.

This February box can still be ordered as a one off box from their Shop Page, or you can sign up now to receive the March box.

March Birchbox

One thing I love to share here on JinksyBeauty is beauty and subscription boxes.

I have been receiving Birchbox and Glossybox for over two and a half years (my Glossybox post for March is already up here), and this is my Birchbox contents ...

The first thing I noticed when I opened my box was the fact that my Batiste top was missing.
So strange as there is nowhere it can go in the box, so it must have been missing when packed!

But I'm intrigued to try this one out as it's a new dry shampoo and conditioner all in one!
Full Size - RRP £4.49.

Next ... With Birchbox I adore a box picks email, we get to pick an item that we receive in our boxes.
Well that didn't exactly go to plan this month. I picked to receive the Lusty Rose shade in the new Benefit Cosmetics lipstick but unfortunately received Pink Thrills.

Full Size - RRP £16.50.

I have contacted Birchbox but they insist that Lusty Rose was so popular it ran out. Super annoying as I always make sure to reply to these emails as quick as I can so as to avoid this.

Pink Thrills isn't something I would necessarily wear, so I haven't swatched it as I thought I would do a giveaway with it! Head on over to my Twitter here to enter!

I also received a sample of the BalanceMe Instant Lift Primer.

Full Size - RRP £22.00.

This sounds amazing as its 99% natural blend of hyaluronic acid and acacia gum which is said to tighten and diffuse the skin for smoothing results.

But my sample is a little on the empty side I'm afraid, so thats a little disappointing.

A shower gel sample is always a handy one though, and Korres products are always a delight.

Full Size - RRP £8.00.

And lastly is a Birchbox Exclusive, a deluxe sample of the Marcelle gentle make-up remover.

Full Size - RRP £14.50.

It's hypoallergenic so great for those with sensitive eyes, and has an ingredients mix of cucumber and green tea, sounds amazing.

What do you think to the contents of my Birchbox box?

Disappointing product ...

As a blogger I think it's so important to share all things, the good, the bad and the disappointing!

I have been trying out so many beauty products recently and have come a couple of things that honestly don't quite make the grade. So I thought I would share my thoughts with you.

First up unfortunately is the new Sensationail Express Gel polishes* that have just been released.

I must say that I'm a massive Sensationail fan and have used their lamp and regular line polishes for some time now. I was literally so excited when I heard these newbies were coming out, I mean they sound great, you literally only needed the lamp and the Express Gel polish (£10) of your choice. They state their is no need primer, top coat, base coat or anything else!

These new polishes are suppose to last up to 10 days, but sadly mine didn't even last 12 hours and most of that time I was asleep in bed.

They are dry to touch straight away as they are cured using the LED Sensationail lamp which is fab. But they quickly showed wear and chipping on the tips of the each nail (even though I capped the tip of each with the polish), and the whole of my thumb had come off during the first 24 hours.

I was then easily able to peel the rest of the polish off, which if you have tried to get gel polish off before, you will know its normally quite the task. Each nail then felt incredibly smooth, which again isn't normal from doing this. So I honestly don't think the formula of these lives up to what it could possibly do.

Now these were very kindly sent to me for review but I couldn't let that effect my thoughts, I need to tell you my honest findings on each product I try.

Feel free to leave a comment with any disappointing products you have found yourself.
