New to NETFLIX!

So today i have joined the many and signed up for Netflix. I have seen so many talking about Netflix on youtube, blogs etc and felt left out so had to join up myself! From what I have heard its really good to catch up on total series of anything you want to watch or random films the kids want to watch. I'm totally new and can't say i completely understand it but all seems fine so far.

Many people that have talked about Netflix had mentioned Pretty Little Liars and funny enough thats the first thing that came up on my screen after i had signed up. I have heard great things but can see i have a lot of catching up to do! 113 episodes to be exact. Eeekkkk.

There seems to be many different things on Netflix, what do people recommend to watch. What have you enjoyed and why? In the past when I was younger i have enjoyed Charmed, Ghost Whisperer, Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Watched every episode of those, but i find it harder to stick to watching series more nowadays but would like to get into something again. I did watch Lost but can't say I completely understood what happened in the end! Any suggestions based on those?

I like the selections i have seen so far, something for me, things for me and the hubby and loads of choice for the kids. My daughter will be into Barbie and My Little Pony, where as my son will love Transformers and Lego. I think they are going to get a lot of use and fun out of Netflix.

I follow Annie writes beauty blog and she recently did a Netflix Tag which i though was a great idea, i hope to be able to take part in this when I'm more advanced Netflixer! :) haha
Please share any info in the comments bar i would love to hear from you. Speak soon. Karen

Tanya Burr - Love, Tanya Book!

I am the very proud owner of Tanya Burr's fabulous new book titled Love, Tanya. This has got to be the most beautiful book that I own, it would look amazing on anyone's dressing table, bedside cabinet or anywhere in view.

Love, Tanya is made to perfection from the amazing photography, fab content and down to the additional glorious detailing of little hearts and stars scattered on covers in gold and throughout on the pages to separate the paragraphs. I love that it also contains a bookmark, this is fab for me as I don't own a separate one.

So much work and effort of love is pouring out of this book! The layout is incredible and each chapter is separated with outstandingly beautiful pictures of Tanya. Each chapter has a different themed picture my favourite being the 'looking forwards'....

The book really has amazing layout, not only does Tanya tell you all about herself her background she includes what we all love beauty sections. From makeup, hair, nails and fashion up to some personal favourites of hers like baking and recipes. She even covers confidence and happiness which is such an amazing section to really help deal with them inner demons. Showing how she coped with anxiety, sharing to try and help others (us the readers.)

It's 303 pages of pure delight! I was so excited when Tanya Tweeted that some stores had released the book early. So went straight out to see if my store had, Waterstones was a winner with £4 off aswell (rrp £12.99) Amazing!! I won't spoil too much for you but here are some my favourite chapters pictures....

The official release date for Love, Tanya is Thursday 29th January with publisher being Penguin books. But if you can get it before grab it you won't be disappointed if your a beauty mad girl like me! It's a real feel good book and I'm so pleased I managed to get it.

Please share in the comments if you managed to get or thinking of getting Tanya's book. What other beauty books do you recommend for me to get?

Boots No7 New Mini Eye Palette

Boots No7
have launched a new range for Spring 2015 including a fabulous mini eye palette and two new shades in the Gel-Look Shine nail polishes (£7.00 ) I have the special edition mini eyeshadow palette to share with you today. I will share swatches and pictures of this adorable new addition.

First of all I noticed it's packaging is perfect and extremely pleasing to the eye in the ever so popular Rose Gold colour. The sizing is perfect, not too big and not too small. It's thin and compact and also contains a decent sized mirror covering the whole of the top half when opened up, which is so handy to take it with you on the go in your handbag or for travelling. Inside it also has the sweetest little double ended applicator brush gold in colour with the No7 logo design in the middle.

The mini eye palette includes the best of No7's powder eyeshadows in natural shades. It includes shades that will suit any skin tone making it the perfect treat for yourself or others. If you fall in love with any shade in this gorgeous palette they can all be purchased from the normal range that No7 stock all year round. The shades in this palette can be used in so many ways, it's so versatile. You can create soft day time looks through to deep full on night time looks.

This eyeshadow palette retails at £11.00 which is a fab buy, especially when No7 cosmetics is on buy one get one half price at the moment. And they are also still running a voupon at the moment, when you spend £4 in store you receive a voucher for £5 off No7 skincare and £3 off No7 makeup. So this makes it an excellent buy and gives you a chance to pick up another cosmetics item for half price when you buy this palette along with £3 off the whole deal !!! So if you wanted to try out one of their new nail polishes you could, they come in perfect spring shades of sweet lilac and coral crush.

The mini eye palette has eight really usable shades with most being shimmer they blend ultra easy. Two shades are nearer the matte side but they still do have a slight shimmer in them. The deeper shades in the palette have beautiful pieces of shimmer glitter that givie a lovely metallic look on.

Starting with the top row of the lighter colours in the palette you can see from my pictures what gorgeous lid and highlight shades they can be.

Then moving onto the bottom row you can see the amazing pigment in this palette. When I swatched these in Boots I couldn't believe just how easy it was to get such strong colour payoff from these colours.

The colours in this palette range from the perfect milky cream highlight shade, gorge taupe transition shade to the deepest shimmery chocolate shade. You could create so many looks with this tiny palette. It's definitely worth a buy. All No7 eyeshadows and range are hypo-allergenic so create for sensitive eyes.

On the back of the palette it shows which shades come from which No7 eyeshadow duo, trio or quad.

So overall I would definitely recommend this palette from it's cute packaging, great price and ease of use.

Have included couple pictures here taken when I got home at night after my purchase yesterday as I was so excited to share it on my Instagram. If you want to follow me on Instagram the link is in find me... At the top of the page or alternatively on the right hand side of my blog. Thanks so much for reading. Urban Decay Electric Palette quick review!

Urban Decay Electric Eyeshadow Palette!
When I first saw this pallette I honestly though 'o my gosh beautiful but would I use it!' But when it was on offer at Debenhams and I knew I had Beauty points something in me said to get it! So glad I did! Wow just look at that pigment, and the packaging is just amazing! I have the Naked one and two palettes so I knew Urban Decay eyeshadows were fab but when I swatched these eyeshadows and tried them I couldn't believe how easy it was to get such an impact of colour.

Yes when you first look at the palette it does look bright and I though it wasn't very wearable. But when you start lookin at the individual eyeshadows you start seeing what you can do with it. You don't have to mix all the colors together at once, although I'm sure if you did it would look amazing!

The silver can be used with most looks neutral or with colour it's the perfect slightly shimmery silver that could be used all over the lid or just on the inner corner of the eye for the perfect stand out hightlighted eye effect. The upper right dark blue and bottom middle purple can easily be used to add depth of colour to a look, they blend out like a dream on the eye. If you was to do a neutral eye look first most colours in this palette could be used in different ways to spice up yours look, if it's under eye pop of colour or brightening up you V or if your brave enough with some of the bright colours even in you inner corner. Obviously some colours will work better than others and it would depend on your personal skin tone to what would look better than on others.

If you can get this at the right price like I did I do recommended the Electric Palette. It's an absolutely beautiful palette to have in your makeup collection and a the eyeshadows are a lovely different addition to mine. I'm going to love having a play around with this unique pallette to see what different looks I can get out of it.

Let me no in the comments section below if you have tried the Electric palette, your thoughts on it!? Have you got a palette you recommend? What's your favourite brands for eyeshadows? Speak soon. Karen x
