Bourjois rouge edition Velvet Lipsticks!

Bourjois do amazing makeup that's super quality and affordable for all. I have two shades from the Rouge Edition Velvet lipstick range which I think are fantastic. These brillang long lasting lipsticks really do last well during daily activities such as eating and drinking, staying put extremely well. It has an amazing texture that glides on and turns into a matte 'velvety' intense colour. With the formula being matte it really doesn't dry your lips out like most do and surprising you don't feel like you have anything on, I feel you can forget about it as it wears so well. They have a slanted foam applicator making it super easy to apply quick and precisely, and if you didn't want it quite so intense you could dab it on with your finger.

I have shades 05 Ole Flamingo and 07 Nude-ist! My only gripe is that there is no neutral shades, when purchasing I did believe and even though I swatched instore I thought that Nude-ist was a nude brown colour, but it was far from nude and had a definate pink toned colour when on the lips. Which I do understand shades can differ from person to person with having different tones to our lips but it isn't a nude shade. I think neutral and lighter shade colours would be an amazing addition to this range and do so well.

On the left hand side swatched above is 05 Ole Flamingo and on the right is 07 Nude-ist.

They claim to have 24 hour hold which is slightly longer than most would want but they are amazingly long lasting and I would love more shades in the Velvet Lipsticks. You can pick them up in Boots instore or online at £8.99 each, but there is always another fab deal on. Starting from today for a limited time they are three for the price of two.

Let me know your thoughts if you have tried rouge edition velvet lipsticks, and what your favourite shades are? Are there any other long lasting lipsticks you can recommend? Would love to hear from you in the comments below. Thanks for reading, Karen x
