Mark Hill WonderBall

How fabulous is the Mark hill WonderBall Hair Brush*, such an amazing addition to anyone beauty collection. As soon as I saw this creation from Mark Hill I knew it would be worth a try, it's available from MarkHill.com or was launched on Boots.com from Saturday 28th March but does still say products coming soon when I last checked. The Wonderball hair brush is priced at £9.99 which is a fab buy as the Lee Stafford one which is very similar is half that much again priced at £14.99.

The WonderBall is a 6 in 1 Styling Sphere and is classed as 'The most revolutionary styling brush ever.' This brush does impress, it can be used on Wet or Dry hair helping to detangle as it goes. It contains Flash Dry technology in that it has specially placed holes in the sphere which aid in the faster drying process when using a hair dryer. The unique sphere shape to the hair brush helps get amazing lift and shape in your hair from the roots through to the ends of your hair. I found if you twist the brush down the hair through to the ends it creates lovely beach wave curls.

In the picture above you can see the specially placed wholes to help with express drying. The anti static bristles which have a lovely pink ball shape on the end are the perfect length to go through my hair with ease, the bristles are placed perfectly with more sparsly placed bristles round the main body of the sphere but towards the end go closer together making it versatile to create different styles using different angles. The end bristles grip my hair well when I'm twisting it to create my smaller curls where as if use a big clump of hair with the main body of the hair brush it creates more of a wave or flick to the hair. It so simple you just twist and go!

The WonderBall hair brush really is a super styler and has helped me to add volume to my hair while elimating my abundance of frizz and adds shine. The packaging that comes with the brush shows little diagrams to help you get the hang of how best to use it but I found I quickly got it working its magic!

Thanks so much for reading I look forward to hearing about any magical hair tools you have tried. Speak soon. Karen x

Real Techniques Sculpting Set!

The fabulous Collectors Edition Real Techniques Sculpting Set has arrived after a cheeky superdrug order! There are three synthetic brushes in this set which are amazingly pretty with their limited edition pink metallic look to them.

With these sets you can normally pick up brushes that you wouldn't normally be able to buy on their own, in this set it has an exclusive cut brush in the fan brush as seen in the middle of the set. The sculpting brush is the main boss of this set as sculpting is what it's all about to get your defined contour. Then you get an added extra of the setting brush, which I do already have but its one of my most used Real Techniqes brushes so I'm really happy to have an extra.

This set cost £20.99 and is exclusive to Superdrug or the Real Techniques site at the moment, but as a Boots employee im really hoping they become available at our stores soon.

Sculpting brush: this brush feature a thick dense wide angled head which aims to help create that defined contour on the face. The sculpting brush can be used with cream or powder formulations, making it a great versatile brush whether you want to mark out your contour on your face or under your jaw line or buff in your foundation.

Fan brush: the exclusive to the set is definately different from all the other brushes I own from Real techniques and is a fabulous addition. It's great for sweeping away unwanted fallout or excess makeup, but the shape of it allows for perfect precise application of your product. The fan brush is perfect for grabbing the tiniest amount of product to not over do it and sweep it down your nose for contour or highlighting. It can also be used to plot out your contour for the rest of your face with its great shape or is amazing for dusting highlight on areas of your face to create that lifted appearance like the cheek bones. This can also be used with cream and powder like most Real Techniques brushes.

Setting brush: this is one of my most versatile brushes with its small rounded head, all the Real Technique brushes you can you them for more than one purpose than what is stated on the brushes themselves. This setting brush is one of my favourites for multi purpose use, I use it for applying or setting my concealor, highlighting, contouring, even sweeping one colour eyeshadow over my lid. So I'm super happy to have a second setting brush to add to my collection. This brush easily takes all manor of makeup up whether it's cream concealor, thick setting powder, I'm yet to find any makeup product that this brush doesn't do well with.

So overall im so extremely happy with this purchase and the added benefits to my makeup brush collection, I do only use Real Techniqeus brushes so I am biased. But I would love to try Sigma or Zoeva! I think this core collection range is super high quality and a great price point for most makeup addicts. I would love to try more from the Bold Metals Real Techniques range but I would like to know if the extra money is worth it as they are rather more in price than this range. I do love the gold and rose gold colourings on the Bold Metals collection, I think they would look amazing stored on anyone's dressing table or makeup area.

Let me know which your favourite Real techniques or makeup brushes are in the comments, I would love to communicate more with the readers of JinksyBeauty. Please follow my via Bloglovin link at top right or via Twitter/Instagram. I also have a mini giveaway on my Instagram account thanks to reaching 500 followers so please share the love! Sleek Cosmetics: Blush!

Love, love, love Sleek Cosmetics! One of the best drugstore brands in my opinion, they give great pigmentation for the price and are better than a lot of high end makeup with their eyeshadows and blush especially.

My obsession with a Sleek cosmetics started after I tried one of their eyeshadow palettes which are absolutely amazing, I now own ten of these superb eyeshadow palettes. I think for the money at £7.99 each they can't be beaten with twelve eyeshadow pans in each palette. I may do a separate blogpost on them to show my collection and just how fab they really are. I also love my face form contouring and blush palette which I have in the shade Fair. The blush in this palette is in the shade Rose Gold and is brilliantly pigmented, I have been using this blush most days since I got the palette a while ago. So with the 3 for 2 offer on at Boots at the moment I decided to try out more from the Sleeks blush range.

On the left of this picture above shows Rose Gold which I repurchased as a single because I love it so much, above on the right is Pomergrante and below is Antique. These shades are all shimmering blushers which look amazingly glowing on the cheeks. I would like to try out more shades, especially the matte to see the difference. These are £4.49 which again I don't think can be beaten, and are great on 3 for 2 at Boots.

Close up shots next :) here is Rose Gold which is a deep coral with gold flecks through out, this looks slightly duo chrome when transfered on to the skin (Amazing!!!)...

Pomergrante which is a deep shimmering pink:

And a new favourite is Antique which is a gorgeously ash toned brown with silver glitter through out:

All three I absolutely love, they give a lovely dewy radiant glow to the skin. If you have tried any of the other shades please let me know which and what you think of them in the comments below.

Each blush is 8g so are great sizings and will last for a long time as you only need to lightly tap your brush to catch a tiny amount for it to give great pigment of colour on the skin. The face form palette I have is 20g total for the three products included, so divided by three you get 6.6g worth of blush in there. Only a tiny amount smaller than the single blush on their own. You can see the difference in the pictures below, please excuse the mess of my face form palette it's been well loved :)

Want to see what they look like on the skin....course you do! Here are some swatches for you...all pictures go from the brown shade of Antique, through to Pomergrante then Rose Gold.

So as you can probably tell I Love Sleek makeup right now, have you tried any other products? Please let me know what I should try out next in the comments below. I can't wait to try the brand new eyeshadow palette the Del Mar 2 which should be arriving in stores very soon. Sneak peak picture is on my Instagram of this from a few weeks ago, so please check out my Instagram and enter my mini giveway for reaching 500 followers if you would like to. (Giveaway UK only)

Thank you so much for reading. I look forward to hearing from you in the comments. Karen x

Maybelline Mini Lips Haul

Loving everything Maybelline cosmetics at the moment especially the lip products! So with the best offer ever on at Boots at the minute I got a few things, more posts to come soon on my other products! Boots have 3 for 2 across all non-premium cosmetics at the moment, which I love but my purse definitely doesn't!

I already love the Maybelline Babylips as I own a few already (more pictures on my Instagram) but the Dr Rescue range has to be my favourite. I received my first Dr Rescue Babylips as a free gift when brought with other Maybelline products a few months ago in Berry Soft and loved it, just wish that was a permanent line. Maybelline have since released three more in the UK, one being clear and the other two pink and coral which are my new additions in Pink Me Up and Coral Crave.

Dr Rescue Babylips are a little more pennies than the normally line at £3.49 each but are so worth the extra. They have a medicated menthol smell to them and claim to give 12 hours moisture. I love that they give instant intense moisture and care with a tint of colour, the Eucalyptus oil and Shea butter are definate winners in these.

Having seen so many people rave about the Color drama intense velvet lip pencils I needed to try them for myself. They are said to be good dupes for the Nars version. I googled swatches first before I went to get them to see which shades where the best out of the collection. I'm a sucker for a coral and have recently been loving nudes so went for 420 In With Coral and 620 Nude Perfection. These are priced at £4.99 each which I didn't think was too bad.

I'm sure from the swatches above you can tell the difference between the nude and the coral, both very different but Gorgous with strong pigmentation. They come up matte when on the lips which helps with the staying power but are not drying for me. I would say they stay on with strong colour for approx three hours before I need to fill them in again to get back that fullness of colour on the lips. You do need a larger pencil sharperner for these as they are like a mini chubby stick.

The shape of the Color Drama pencils make it very easy for application and getting great shape on the lips. I would definitely like to try out other shades in the range. Which other colours do you recommend or tried? I watch so many YouTube videos and see so many Maybelline products and lines that we don't stock here in the UK, I wish we had those items availble to us here. I especially would love to try our more lipsticks as we don't have a massive shade selection, I have seen the matte lipstick range on videos that look amazing. I also would love to try out the Master range, as they seem to do lovely primers, concealors etc. Hoping for UK release soon or a lottery win so I can fly over to get them myself! Haha

Thanks so much for reading, please share your thoughts in the comments.
