August Favourites

It's August Favourites times, which I know is a little late. I have enjoyed so many products this month so it was a hard pick. I have also got very much obsessed with stationary and probably could have created a stationary post all on its own to be fair. But here are my top picks...

I always wanted a pack of Sharpie marker colours after I brought a metallic set last Christmas, so when I spotted the 28 pack in Tesco for £7 I said yes please. I thought £7 was a fab deal and I have already got so much use out of them. I have used them for writing on empty beauty pots to tell me what's in them, in my diary, to make acheivement charts for the kids and more. I have recently brought a Personal Planner which I'm loving and am on the search for more pens, stickers and washi tape.

I have always loved Lush but I'm really loving it at the moment with so many new products coming out. I have included Lush just generally as a favourite brand, no product in particular. But obviously the bath bombs are my all time favourite as I haven't tried so much from the other ranges. Please let me know which bath bomb you recommend for me to try out! I can't wait for the Christmas range and I'm hoping to attend an event to see them very soon.

I have always enjoyed using Batiste products but did often find with the dry shampoo left the white residue which is hard to mask in my dark brown hair. I have tried two of the new range, which are the Textursing spray and the Frizz off spray*. Both have been lovely and helped the volume and condition of my hair, I hate putting hairspray in my hair that's going to leave it stiff and hard to brush out. The Textursing spray has helped with lift to my roots and general texture in the lengths. The Frizz off spray has helped calm any fly aways and left it with a glossy shine.

Makeup is always a favourite of mine, I love to apply it, look at it and swatch it at any time of the day. The Too Faced chocolate bar palette was a present for my birthday last year, so I have almost had it a year as my birthday is October 4th. I love the texture, shades and obviously scent from this palette. There isn't a shade I don't like and they all blend together like a dream. Another favourite particularly this month has been the Sleek Del Mar 2 palette, which is perfect for spring/summer time with its pops of colour. I have a separate swatch post if you want to check that out here.

I have been reaching for my Barry M contour palette a lot this month, as well as my holy grail Sleek face form palette. I love all the shades and actually use the darkest as an eyeshadow. My favourite for eyeliners are the Loreal super liner for my blackest of black winged liner and Rimmel scandaleyes in nude for my water line which is super brightening. Another Rimmel product I have been loving is the Lasting Perfection concealer, the first time I used this I wasn't over keen as I used my fingers, but when I tried it out with my Real Techniques setting brush it was a whole different story.

I would love to hear your favourites, please chat with me in the comments section below.

Thanks so much for stopping by, August empties post is coming next! Karen x JinksyBeauty x
