September Birchbox

Happy Birchday Birchbox: September months Birchbox is a celebration of Birchbox being 5 years old. They are the longest standing beauty subscription to date, since they launched in the U.S. in 2010 and now have over 1 million subscribers. Good going Birchbox! I love receiving emails from Birchbox where I get to choose something to do with my box, this time I got to choose between two box designs. I went for the Balloons, but it did take me a little while to pick.

Also in a Birchbox email it gave us a chance to earn an extra goodie in our box, the Whish CC body cream. All we had to do was send five emails to friends and family who wasn't already signed up to Birchbox to share the chance to signup. Unfortunately my Whish product was literally nearly empty, so I did send Birchbox a quick message on Facebook and they very kindly sent another out which arrived today. The scent of this is coconut milk and it smells amazing.

So loving the Whish CC body cream now I have some product to try, it also contains a slight shimmer so is beautiful on the skin. It also states it corrects skin imperfections which is fab. This size is worth £3.56 and a larger size can be purchased through the Birchbox eshop.

A Birchbox exclusive is the Beauty Protector range, I have had a product for my hair before from them and I adore the scent. This time I received a body wash and it had a lovely smell. A full size is £8, but I couldn't work out the sample value as it didn't have a size printed on the produc.

A Brand I have never heard of before was included in this months box, the John Masters Organic citrus neroli detangler. This contains coconut oil and wheat amino acids to help nourish the hair, while helping with any knots and tangles. Sample value £2.03.

I was excited to see Laura Mercier in my box this month, I have always enjoyed using their products. I have an eyeshadow from Laura Mercier called black karat that I'm obsessed with and use all the time. This is the flawless skin face polish which is a luxury face exfoliator that contains micro beads that buff away dead skin cells. A full size of this product will cost you £26 and this sample is worth £2.94.

Everyone received a handy beauty bonus this month with a Birchbrush, there was three colour different colours and we received a random one. Mine came in blue obviously as your can see, so my son has claimed that as me and my daughter both have Tangel Angels or Tangle Teezers. A lovely addition to the box and it states the value to be £5.99.

I had seen a sneak peek that every subsciber was going to be receiving the Benefit Porefessional License to blot mini sample. I was so excited about this one as I'm oily skin type, this product helps to combat shiny T-Zones and states it last six hours so I'm truly hoping it does. Full size is £15.50 and this size is worth £5.05. You get enough of this product to really be able to tell if it's going to work for you. One thing I wish Birchbox did was slightly larger or full size products.

A multi use product with the Laqa & Co cheeky lip pencil, can be applied to the cheeks or the lips. Mine is in the shade Cray-cray which is a lovely coral shade. I find with most of these multi use products aimed at cheeks and lips I always feel I would only use them on my lips! Am I the only one? Full size is £17 which personally I wouldn't pay as I'm not over fussed with this product myself. When you screw the product up you can see you only get a tiny amount of product, so the packaging is deceptive.

So that's all my contents of this months Birchbox, what did you think?  Great brands, just wish some were slightly bigger sizings. I have rather a large collection of samples and minis now. Do you receive Birchbox? What did you receive this month? Want to subscribe? Use my referral link here to gain an extra £5 worth of points.

I'm excited for next months October box as it going to be another choose your own, so I will look forward to an email. Plus it my own birthday month so that's exciting.
