Lottie London

Lottie London was a brand I had seen around and thought 'oooooo that looks fun!', super bright, colourful and extremely eye catching. Up until recently I hadn't tried anything out so the first thing I tried was their makeup brushes. They are super gorgeous, bright and definitely pretty for on anyone's dressing table. I did take a picture of these before I used them but my SD card decided to lose them! Their nail polish* bottle packaging is amazing, I love the chunky square shape.

From left to right in the pictures above I have Spoil Sport which is an extremely deep navy, going on black. Forever Young a bright fuschia Barbie pink. My favourite Sand Castle which is a beautiful nude with a gold sheen. And lastly First Kiss which is chunky multicoloured blues, pinks and silver glitter.

I love that the formula is thick so I only need two coats, some nail varnishes I have used recently have needed three coats to get the opaque look I like. My favourite Nail Polish to date is still the Barry M Gelly collection, what is yours?

Lottie London is available on Superdrug.com or in stores. The Nail polishes are £5.99 each, and the pretty brushes differ depending on the brush but I'm sure you can check them out for yourselves.

Thanks for stopping by for my mini review. Karen x JinksyBeauty x

October YouBeautyDiscovery box

One of the cheapest beauty boxes out there at the moment is You Beauty Discovery at only £6.95 including postage. So this little parcel is great value and you get to pick two of your own products at the start of each month which I love. They always include products that every subscriber receives and then send an email with a shortlist of products for that month a couple days before you pick, which is always the first of the month. These are the products everyone received, two perfume samples from The White Company and two Vichy foundation samples.

Little perfume samples are always handy to pop one in your bag when going out to freshen up and I have always wanted to try The White Company out after hearing they do great candles. I love that they do a Day and Night to switch it up abit, gorgeous fragrances. Another great selection of products to choose from this month but as I adore the Revlon Gel Envy top coat and wanted another back up. One option was both the top coat and a colour polish so I picked that, unfortunately my colour (Pocket Aces) was badly chipped at the back but a quick email with pictures and they soon sent me a replacement. Great customer service. They normally retail for £6.99 each.

After reading through all the other descriptions on the products the Scentered stress less therapy balm seemed rather interesting for me. It's a balm full of essential oils that you rub on your pressure points to help deal with everyday stresses, easing tension, soothes the mind and lift spirits. I'm a real stress head for silly reasons sometimes and thought this would be worth a try being 100% natural. This retails at £14.50 and can be found on many websites if you google it, including Space.NK.

Please do let me know if you have any methods to staying calm, relaxed etc as that's something I'm struggling with at the moment. I would love to hear what works for you or if you have heard or any great suggestions. I know it's a little too much information sometimes but I feel if we share our worries together, try and work on them it may help. Anythings worth a try!

Another great month from You Beauty Discovery! If you receive this box let me know what you picked, or alternatively take a look at the website to see if you want to sign up for yourself here.

Busy Bee Candles: Magik Beanz Review

Autumn is a beautiful season and one of my favourite seasons when it's not too cold! But one thing that makes me very happy during the Autumn season is ... candles and melts. Busy Bee Candles have an amazing selection of scents and products but I have only so far tried out the Magik Beanz which are tiny wax melts. I absolutely adore these Magik Beanz so much, they are incredibly powerful beautiful scents.

Each pot contains fifteen Beanz and is an amazing £1.89. I usually use three Beanz at a time and the scent lasts approx eight hours, (so about two uses for me per three Beanz). So you get about five different uses out of each pot you buy, making them super value for money. This particular scent in Autumn Splendor is one of my favourites, it literally smells just like a lovely crisp Autumn morning and more. They melt super fast with them being so small and the scent fills the room within minutes, they are the best melts I have used so far for throw of scent.

I use my Yankee Candle wax burner but most burners will work as you don't need to worry about the melts being too big for the dish because they are cute tiny Beanz. I have had it previously with a whole melt via a different company melting down the side and creating a mess and smoke, so always be extra careful whenever burning melts and candles as I'm sure you know the dangers.

These Magik Beanz are amazing as you can either have one scent, whichever you choose or mix and match. You can create different scents by mixing different combinations together. So the fun is endless.

Where can you order these I hear you ask? Well a lovely lady has her Facebook site Busy Bee Candles by Lucy and stocks all the Busy Bee candles items you could wish for including an advent calendar which sounds incredible. She also holds generous giveaways and lovely raffle prizes so head on over now. You can view the whole range on busybeecandles.co.uk and all products are handmade in Wales.

Do let me know in the comments below any scents you have tried from Busy Bee Candles and your thoughts. Can't wait to hear from you. Speak soon. Karen x JinksyBeauty x

Birchbox: Stylist Edition

Birchbox is here and I picked the Stylist guest editor box edition, what did you go for? I love getting choose your own items emails but loved even more that we got to pick our own box even though it did spoil it slightly. I always reply to them emails straight away on the day, and 'touch wood' so far have always received what I wanted. This box stood out to me straight away as I knew I would use most of the items in the box, whereas the alternative box 'back to basics' I would have only wanted the Seche Vite top coat.

As you may know I'm face mask mad, so as soon as I saw that an the Rituals foaming shower gel I knew this was the box for me. Also both boxes had the tiny Bioderma sample in and I have always wanted to try that out, it is super mini but very cute.

I received a full size 100% Pure fruit pigmented lip glaze that retails for £19, this is a Birchbox exclusive and can be found in their amazing Eshop that I love so much. My fruity lip glaze was in the shade seduce, which is an easy to wear muted nude pink. The packaging is very cute but I do think £19 is a little steep for this product if I'm honest.

The second full size was the When travelmate sheet mask, these can be purchased in different sets but this one is £25 for a pack of four. This is suppose to be ideal and meant for people traveling around on planes, trains or on jolly holidays. It is said to lock in moisture, soften skin and undo damage. Sounds interesting! I will be sure to give this a go when and if my skin feels dry, but I have oily skin So I can't see that happening.

I can't wait to try out my tiny Bioderma Micellar water. I do love to initially take my makeup off with a Micellar water as I find them quick and easy, I'm not a fan of wetting my face so much some nights. My box included the one for sensitive skin which is great, I would love to try out the sebium for oily skin though.

I received a Parlor smoothing blowout spray which is another Birchbox exclusive. Its not a product I'm over excited about but I will definetly try it out, the full size costs £17 so it's not a cheap hair brand. It does help to protect against heat damage and is said to 'blot out' frizz so sounds good.

A product I was excited about was the Rituals yogi flow foaming shower gel in the scent Indian rose and Sweet Almond oil. I have heard great things about this and can confirm it is lovely as I have now tried it out for myself already. It comes out more watery than the Imperial leather foambursts which I love but soon lathers up. Full size is £8.50 so I would probably not purchase a bigger one as I do really like the Imperial leather version myself, but it's a lovely treat.

And lastly was the English Laundry perfume sample in No.7 for her. I have received this before in a Birchbox and it's lovely with rose geranium, creamy white flowers combined with musk as it's described. As I had received it before it wouldn't let me review it for my points, but I messaged them and they kindly added my points on for me.

As you may know I'm obsessed with my Birchbox points, I adore saving them up and spending them on little luxuries. If your not already signed up but would like to, please do go through my referral link here where you and I will gain extra points to spend in the amazing eshop. You will gain an extra £5 Birchbox points on top of the box purchase and surveys, so is an excellent way to sign up.

Fabulous October Glossybox revealed...

So I only received my October Glossybox today but I have already taken my pictures and want to share how fab this months box is with you. I have so many posts waiting to be done but as this months box is such amazing value I wanted to share it with you to give you an opportunity to get one for yourself before they run out. There is also amazing special edition boxes coming out and a fab sneak peek at Novembers box that is not to be missed.

The first product in my box this month I noticed is the amazing Lanolips golden ointment, this is that good I already own it and have a back up. This is a skin saviour, it's an amazing all round multi use product that can be used on the hands, feet, body and face. It's a rich ointment gel like texture that intensively moisturises instantly with its 60% Lanolin and manuka honey ingredients. I use this all over my hands but mainly for my cuticles as it's perfect to nourish and improve the appearance of my nails. If you have a dry patch anywhere it's a brilliant product and the best thing is you only need an extremely small amount as a little goes a very long way. This is £17.99 and available at Boots.com

I was excited to see a gorgeous pink blending sponge in this months box, as I really need to be trying more of these out. This is from the brand NickaK which do amazing cosmetics. I have heard so many great reviews about blending sponges and after my first experience that didn't go so well with a beauty blender I feel I need to retry. Any tips? I love the shape of this one as it looks great for holding and applying with control. As with all the products in this months Glossybox it's full size and is £6.50 on Nicka.com

A product I knew was arriving in this months box was the Talika Photo-hydra day face hydration as it was our sneak peek from last months box. It's a French brand which I have had eye gel patches from before I believe. This product states it contains plumping Hyaloronic acid leaving skin hydrated and perfectly primed. Sounds perfect. Stay tuned on my social media to see my thoughts when I have tried it out. This product is a whopping £24.85, so as you can tell this months Glossybox is absolutely amazing value so far.

A product I will get a lot of use out of to lighten and brighten my eye are is the So Susan highlighting pencil, which is a prefect peachy shade. This is for highlighting and brightening the inner eye and water line but best for me to use just underneath my eyebrows to really lift and give a great illusion of better brows. This is £15 off sosusan.com

I actually already have this mascara also but yet to try it out, maybe I should now. It's the Jelly Pong Pong Fairy Lashes mascara which is £17.95 to purchase full size like this, WowZa. The special feature this mascara has is it says it continually curls eyelashes throughout the day. Now I don't need or use eye lash curlers so i will be interested to see what this does on my lashes. Available on jellypongpong.com

So lots of lovely products to try out in this months box, my favourite obviously was the Lanolips which I will be giving to a family member to try out as I have a back up already. I would have loved the Lanolips lip ointment as have always wanted to try that out, especially the apple scented one.  On the subject of lips, the exciting Sneak Peek for next months box is that we all will receive a Revlon lipstick in their best selling shades. So excited. So if you aren't signed up already you really must, please do use my link as it shows I have referred you. Click here to sign up.

Glossybox have also throw in a fabulously exciting advertisement for a special edition box they are doing with Nars cosmetics! How ace is that. As a subscriber we will be able to get this box with five cult Nars products for £30 instead of the £35 that it will sell for to everyone else. So you really must sign up to Glossybox now to be the first to here about this one of a kind box.

I would love to hear your thoughts and comments on this months box, please let me know what you got or if you are signing up. The box total for mine this month was a whopping £82.29. Which is amazing when we pay £10 (plus p&p). Definetly a box to get.

Thanks for stopping by today. Karen x JinksyBeauty x
