WaxBox

I'm a massive fan of subscription boxes and I adore wax melts, so Wax Box is a perfect one for me. Wax Box is a fabulous subscription box that supply's you each month with a massive range of different amazing melts/tarts or small candles from all kinds of companies. It allows you to try out all different varieties of wax forms, and best of all it comes straight to your door so there is no searching involved.

This is the standard box* and as you can see it is jam packed full of amazing products as it is, but there is an option to get an even bigger box (see bottom of post for more info.) I was so super excited when I opened my box and the scents coming from inside hit me before I even got into it...always a good sign!

This months box contained a couple of companies I had heard of before from their fab Instagram accounts and Kiss Air Candles whom I have worked with before on their fabulous candles. The great thing about these boxes is I have been able to explore other companies that I had never stumbled across before. One of my favourites being Wax Scentsual, and I now have a box full of goodies from them to share with you all very soon. Look out for that post!

Wax Scentsual: they included their amazing One Million scented melt, which genuinely smells exactly the same as the well known fragrance! Also by the same brand was the Green Irish Tweed melt, I love how creative these brands are with the scents they bring out. Some amazing ones.

Make Life Vintage: one of the absolute best all round with super packaging, fantastic scents and super cute moulds of their adorable melts. As you can see from the above pictures they come in the most perfect little shapes which really do leave you wanting more. This scent is Palma Violets like the sweets and was one of the strongest for me. Really throughly enjoyed these melts and the company have so many more excellent scents, I have been following them on Instagram since receiving this box and have seen so many more I would love to try...soooo need their lush dupe melts!

Kiss Air Candles: as I mentioned before this brand isn't new to me and I have been using their lovely candles over Christmas. This was the first melt I used from the WaxBox and I adored the Clean Cotton scent, so fresh and just the right amount of throw so it wasn't too overpowering in the room. I have seen they have just realeased some new scented candles for springtime, their new Rhubarb candle sounds incredible.

Rosie Mai's: lovely company made by two moms in Durham who aim to make the world smell mighty fine! First of all.... A+ for your gorgeous business card ladies, love it! Their melt in the scent English rain came beautifully and perfectly packaged, it comes as chunky cubes so easily popped straight into the burner. Another incredible scent and perfect for spring, as with all the scents in this months wax box I found them to be perfect for this time of year which is great.

Melted LDN: in the beautiful and popular Jo Malone scent English Pear and freesia. This is one I'm yet to melt and only just as I'm writing this I have noticed a cute charm hidden inside! It's a little butterfly and so adorable, what a nice touch. Defo burning this one tonight.

DeeLights: from the title of this melt 'Spring meadow' it's another perfect scent for springtime. And as with all of the scents in this months WaxBox none of the scents are offensive at all, they all smell beautiful. I have recently tried a melt that I had to stop burning after ten minutes as the scent made me feel sick, but that's for another time!

Regent House: a really unique and different type of wax that I have never personally tried before is these granules. I think these are a great idea as you can really control the strength of the scent depending on how much you put into your burner. I loved this scent, it's called Guardian Angel but very much reminded me of a fresh baby powder scent when burning.

So that concludes the look over my contents of the March Wax Box. I was over the moon with the contents of this box and think it was such a fabulous way to try alternative brands that I had never heard of. What did you think?

When you sign up to WaxBox you pay via card and it can automatically renews each month for as long as you so wish. The payment is taken on the last day of each month and boxes are shipped on the 8th of each month. I have shared with you the standard box which is a fabulous £10.00 but you can opt for the 'Bigger' WaxBox for £15.00 instead if you desire, but be quick as they sell out fast like Aprils bigger box has already. Postage is an extra £3.95.

Thanks for stopping by.

Crowd Colour Palette + MakeupGeek

At the end of this post I guarantee you will be clicking over to the fabulous Crowd Colour, creating and  playing around making your own personalised palette. Just how amazing is it that you can click on a site, create something beautiful, view it on your screen, tweak it as you want, purchase and then it comes straight to your front door!

Crowd colour are a lovely company that bring your own creations to life on their fabulous products. They have beautifully made, sturdy empty magnetic palettes in a range of sizes (small, medium and large), you pick your size and if you want it to be white or black and then create away! My palette here is the Medium black palette* (£14.00). I'm so super please with the quality of the palette, not at all flimsy and the fact that it has a great sized mirror on the inside top part is perfect.

The front can be designed however you so wish! I went for a gold glitter with a uplifting Disney quote along with my blog name. But the possibilities are endless! You can use their pre-designed templates or upload a photo straight from your computer so you can really personalise it, really making it your creation. They are so amazing as you can create your palette on the outside and also put exactly what you want on the inside as well.

The great thing about these empty palettes is that you don't need to except that shade that you will never use, that matte shade that's too chalky as you pick the best pans to suit you. All in one place! You can put eyeshadow pans (like I have), blushes, lipstick pans, bronzers, whatever you like and more.

I had always wanted to try out some Makeup Geek cosmetics so when the opportunity came to fill my pretty palette I knew it had to be some Makeup Geek eyeshadow pans. The best place to buy these in the UK is from beautybay.com which also stocks so many other fabulous brands that I need in my life!

Each pan fit in so well, quick and easy as they magnetically attract right in the spot you position it in and are so easily moved if you want to change your palette around. I watched many videos on Makeup Geek swatches and picked my five top favs to put in my palette first, the medium palette will easily fit fifteen of the Makeup Geek eyeshadow pans which is fab. So.... which other shades do I need to add to my palette?

I'm super happy so far with the shades I picked for my palette. Showing from left to right:
Shimma Shimma, Creme Brûlée, High Tea, Cocoa Bear and Bitten.

I'm going to thoroughly enjoy filling my palette and will continue to share it as it fills up so you can see what I add. I would love to create another Crowd Colour palette in the future, the process was so simple and easy to do. I adore the pre-made template designs in their Rustic Wedding Collection, I think these would look amazing on the white palette. Go check out the Crowd Colour website for yourself, you can create your own palette just how you want!

Do let me know in the comments what you think to my palette so far and what you suggest I need to add. Any other pans you recommend?

New in Beauty: Zoeva Rose Golden

A brand I absolutely adore everything from what I have tried so far is Zoeva Cosmetics. One of my favourite eyeshadow palettes too date is the Zoeva Cocoa Blend palette (I actually have it on today), as each shade it contains are all very usable for me and shades I would pick myself if I was making a palette up. So that's perfect! I do have a separate blogpost on my Zoeva eyeshadow palettes but here are a couple of snaps I found I had of my swatches...

When I saw the coming soon email for the new Zoeva Rose Golen blush palette and new brushes I fell in love. I'm still yet to try out any of their brushes but they look truly amazing. I quickly tweeted Beauty Bay asking when they would be stocking them as they are the best place in the UK to get hold of many amazing brands. They quickly replied saying their buying team were working on it and very soon had them in stock. So I brought the Zoeva Rose Golden blush palette which was only £13, bargain!

The palette contains three rather large pans of a blush, highlighter and bronzer. I adore Zoeva packaging, really sleek slim cardboard style with magnetic close. Fab looking I think, great for storage and amazing for travelling. This blush palette also contains NO Parabens and NO Fragrances.

I have swatched each shade on my arm with no additional products....

The blush named Palace Door is a really pretty deeper coral shade with a golden sheen through out which is super pretty on the cheeks, gives a real glow used on its own. The highlighter is also stunning, named Glowing Still it looks super white in the pan but soon as you swatch it you can see it's more golden toned. It does start off slightly chalky but blends out beautifully on the skin adding to that golden glow. The bronzer named Heavy Crown is the least pigmented out of the three, it's a gorgeous shade but for me doesn't warm up my face enough, I have to add another product on my face to get the look I want and I'm super pale. But I have been really enjoying this palette as a whole and I'm glad I purchased it for my collection.

Next on my Zoeva Makeup Wish List is the Rose Golden eyeshadow palette and Smoky eyeshadow palette. Have you tried out Zoeva Cosmetics? Do let me know you favourite products or any other makeup recommendations you have in the comments below. Are you a blogger? Don't forget to leave your blog link with your comment so I can check your blog out.

March Glossybox

These months just seem to fly by so fast! Another Glossybox is here with a lovely Get Glowing theme. This months box comes in the standard pink Glossybox which are always useful to store many things or use to separate beauty/makeup bits in my IKEA Alex drawers.

The first thing that jumped out at me (not literally!) in this months box was the cute Luxie Rose Gold angled face brush. I do love a good makeup brush and this one is super pretty. Maybe not quite as nice as my Spectrum Collection brush that I received in my Birchbox last month but I'm happy with it and it has fitted nicely into my collection. This is a full size product worth £10.42 available from luxiebeauty.com

Next was from a brand I love, the Collection Speedy highlighter. Collection do my favourite concealor of all time with their lasting perfection concealor, I adore their contour kit and they just have some amazing makeup bits for great prices. The speedy highlighter was something I didn't already own and its a lovely product also, great for just a little glow. It's not as pigmented as I thought but I actually quite like that it's not too much, it's fab for applying straight from the tip and dabbing in with your fingers or tapping on with a small brush. Full size again and costs £3.99.

I received some handy travel sized shampoo and conditioner from -417. I haven't used these yet as they have gone straight into my minis/samples draw ready to take away with my when I'm on holidays as they are the perfect size. They are the Catharsis vitamin mineral shampoo and conditioner which full size are £16.89 each.

Skincare wise in my box was a tiny Olay skin tone perfecting cream which I will pass on to someone else as Olay products don't agree with my skin. The Hey Honey good morning honey silk facial serum sounds interesting though, I will try this out when my current serum has ran out. My Hey Honey is a travel sized but full size is £28.81 available from heyhoney.com.

What did you think to this months Glossybox? The next two Glossyboxes sound interesting with the April box containing The Body Shop Oils of Life Facial Oil, so my sneak peek information card tells me. And I received an exciting email asking me which of the new Revlon mascaras I wanted in my May box, I went for the blue topped mascara which is said to lengthen and volumise. If your already a Glossybox subscriber let me know which you went for in the comments below. Want to sign up to get yours, click here!

Thanks so much for stopping by, I hope you have a good day!
