Karen Davey Soy Candle Tin Review

As you may or may not know I'm a bit obsessed with candles, abit like bath bombs, face masks and all things Beauty! I was kindly offered by a lovely lady, Karen Davey, to try out one of her handmade candles* for review. She stocks some lovely homeware and these soy candles that come in a tin or a larger glass jar.

The tin candles are £8.50 and come in this really cute packaging and each candle has a different coloured label depending on the scent, these have a 12 hour approx burn time. The glass candles come in a beautiful jar that reminds me of a body butter which are £15.00 and have a 20 hour approx burn time. All her candles are handpoured in beautiful Cornwall, so it's really lovely to support these fab businesses within the UK.

My candle is in the scent Vin Blanc - White Wine fragrance, which had I got to pick, I wouldn't have chosen this as I'm a little anti alcohol and not keen on the scent myself. There are some fragrances that appeal more to me such as the Blueberry and Vanilla or Fresh Linen.

When I smelt the candle straight off dry without burning the scent is extremely strong but once lit the scent isn't overpowering at all. We had this on in a large room and once burning I struggled to smell the White Wine scent, so for me not being keen on the scent was probably a good thing. I am someone who doesn't just like the look and feel of a candle but I also like to get some sort of throw every now and then or constantly is my preference.

Not only does Karen sell candles on her beautiful website, she also stocks amazing themed cushions, adorable bunting and other home accessories. So go check them out on karendavey.co.uk.
